We all love springtime. Not only does spring bring with it warmer weather and beautiful flowers, but it also brings some yummy spring fruits too. Who doesn’t love some of nature’s candy? The fruits are such a great snack and are often used to enhance many dinner recipes. They also provide many nutrients, vitamins, and antioxidants that help keep us healthy. If you want to reduce your stress level, strengthen your immune system, or maybe get a little help preventing cancer, then you must Eat More Fruit!

Fruits Provide Us With Some Healthy Benefits

As we all know, fruits are a healthy snack. Eating lots of fruit can help you lose weight and give you more energy, how cool is that? We also know that it is recommended that we drink between 6 – 8 glasses of water a day. Did you know that fruits are about 80% water? We can get a lot of our recommended water intake from fruit.

Fruits can also help us with many digestive problems and help to lower our cholesterol. You can reduce your stress, strengthen your immune system, and maybe prevent some cancers by eating more fruit. If you could avoid or at least hold off on aging, would you? Of course! All you have to do is eat more fruit. Fruits help to do that by protecting and rejuvenating cells, tissues, and organs.

Apricots

Apricots are sweet and therapeutic. They can help in the treatment of constipation, a variety of skin problems, strained muscles, earaches, and indigestion. Apricots are rich in Vitamins C, B2, A, and B3. Scientists say that apricots can improve longevity and improve good health. This is because apricots carry ten times more magnesium than other foods.

With a high content of magnesium and phosphorus, Apricots are known to help with improving brain function and normalizing your blood pressure. Apricots (more in dried apricots) also hold potassium carbonate, which is very beneficial for those who suffer from heart-related problems. Eating Apricots will also help reduce the symptoms of flatulence, colitis, bacterial imbalances, and is used as a natural diuretic.

Furthermore, they are full of vitamins C, E, potassium, magnesium, iron, folate, and fiber.

Other benefits of eating cherries include helping your brain health and preventing memory loss, reducing inflammation and symptoms of arthritis and gout. Several people also use them as a potent anti-inflammatory to reduce pain and joint soreness after workouts, as a source of fiber for digestive health, and they are great in helping to maintain your weight.

Kiwi

Kiwis taste good, have health benefits, and it’s a fun word to say. Go ahead….try it……Kiwi…Kiwi…Kiwi. Seriously, Kiwi offers many vitamins, flavonoids, and minerals. They have a massive amount of Vitamin C, more than oranges, Vitamin E, and Vitamin A Kiwiw have just as much potassium as bananas and are a good source of beta-carotene. They have been known to help reduce many respiratory problems, such as shortness of breath, coughs, wheezing, and runny noses.

Eating Kiwi is an excellent solution for those who have asthma. Kiwi helps to protect our bodies from the free radicals that like to give us a hard time. They are also very high in dietary fiber, which helps to lessen the effects of diseases, such as diabetes and colon cancer. Kiwis also help lower cholesterol levels and improve the conditions of people with cardiovascular diseases and lower the probability of a heart attack — pretty great stuff for such a yummy fruit.

Mangos

Mangos are delicious alone or in recipes and sauces. They are known as the King of Fruit because they are very rich in beta carotene, potassium, iron, Vitamins C, niacin, magnesium, flavonoids, calcium, and amino acids. Phew… that was a lot to say. A combination of acids, the right kind, enzymes, fiber, and Vitamin C packs a major punch against cancer. Mangos have all of those in large amounts.

If you boil mango leaves in water and let sit overnight, you will have a diabetic home remedy to drink in the morning. The mango leaves help to normalize insulin levels. Mangos have a low glycemic index, so they cannot effectively increase blood sugar levels.
